Privacy Statement


Electronic Filing.

As an approved transmitter of electronically filed federal income tax returns, we follow stringent security guidelines to help protect the security and privacy of your data. Electronically filed tax returns are encrypted during transmission to us. We use secure connections to transmit your clients' returns to the IRS and state tax filing agencies. We maintain copies of electronically filed returns in case we need to retransmit the returns to the appropriate service centers or resolve technical support issues, and for internal administrative purposes.

Electronic Filing and Pay-Per-Return Authorizations.

You may purchase electronic filing and pay-per-return authorizations online.

Bank Products.

We provide you the opportunity to offer Bank Products to your clients, such as refund transfers, advances, and refund anticipation loans. You are asked to review and agree to the financial services agreement of the bank partner providing the service you dynamoRequest. Your application information will be provided to the bank partner. Please review the privacy policies of our bank partners to learn how they manage your and your clients' personally identifiable information.

Instant Data Entry.

Instant Data Entry allows you to retrieve and enter tax information automatically from sources, such as participating employers and financial institutions, directly onto the correct forms in the ProSeries Express Edition. When you download information from such tax data providers, you will be required to enter authentication information, such as your client's user name, account number and/or password. We use this information for authentication to the tax data provider.

Refund Infoline.

ProSeries Express Edition offers a service that allows your clients to call a toll-free number and receive the status of their e-file return and/or bank product. Clients must authenticate prior to receiving status information. Only status information is given using this automated system.

Connected Customer.

If you have an Internet connection, you will be asked to complete the ProSeries tax software installation process using the "Connected Customer" wizard via the Internet.

My ProSeries.

As a ProSeries customer, you may create an online account, which will allow you to access certain tools such as online support, product licensing, and discussion forums.

Product Feedback.

We offer you the opportunity to provide product suggestions online. All submissions through this form are treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary, and may be published or used by Intuit, without your personal information, for other purposes.

E-mail Alerts.

The E-mail Alerts feature provides you with the option to receive customized e-mails telling you when product updates and new releases become available. You are given the option of accepting or declining to register for E-mail Alerts during the online installation process for ProSeries. E-mail Alerts are customized, so you will only receive e-mails about a product that you have currently installed or that you have indicated as interested in installing when it becomes available. You may deactivate this feature at any time through the Tools menu >Options setting in ProSeries. E-mail Alerts are sent to the e-mail address you provided when ordering ProSeries. Should you choose to decline to receive E-mail Alerts, you will still receive important critical notices notifying you of potential impacts to your product or service.

Task Scheduler and Update/Download New Products.

You may update your ProSeries software or download new releases from within ProSeries via the Internet using Task Scheduler or the Update/Download New Products task in the Help menu. During the download process, we receive technical information about your computer system and ProSeries products you have installed. We use this information to update your program correctly, to resolve technical support issues, and internal reporting.

Seminars.

We provide you the opportunity to register for product training.

Newsletters.

As a ProSeries customer, you automatically receive e-mail newsletters. Our ProSeries News and Notes newsletter contains articles and tax news of interest to tax preparers as well as news and offers related to our products. Our ProSeries News e-mail newsletter contains timely and critical information and updates related to your ability to use the ProSeries products.

You may unsubscribe to either of these newsletters by contacting us at ProSeries Customer Service at 1-800-375-7317 or by following the instructions we provide in each newsletter.

Online Reporting for ProSeries Express.

Online reporting allows you to upload information about the status of tax returns for consolidated reporting from multiple offices in the same firm. Tax information such as the status of the returns, fees, and your customers' names and social security numbers will be uploaded. Your firm's administrator may limit access to the reports.

Your Customers' Information.

For some services, such e-file, you provide some of your customers' personal information to Intuit. We use such information only to fulfill the service that you dynamoRequest. We do not use this information for marketing purposes or share this information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We use industry-recognized security safeguards to protect your customers' information.
